Frankfurt chief confirms offer for Kevin Trapp
Eintracht Frankfurt have made an offer to sign Kevin Trapp permanently from Paris Saint-Germain, says club boss Wolfgang Steubing.
Kevin Trapp impressed on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2018/19 season, and 'Die Adler' are now trying to sign the goalkeeper from Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent deal.
In an interview with Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt chairman of the supervisory board Wolfgang Steubing has confirmed that the club have tabled a bid for the 28-year-old.
"We have made an offer for Kevin. He would like to stay with us. He's the third-choice keeper for the national team, and 28 is a good age. If he commits himself to us, it shows that he puts his heart and soul in playing for Eintracht," Steubing said.
The Frankfurt boss also made it clear he would like to sign Martin Hinteregger (Augsburg) and Sebastian Rode (Dortmund) who both impressed on loan in the past season as well.
"[Hinteregger] is a good guy - a very grounded, lovable person. And he has also played really well. A stroke of luck. He's committed to us. I have a big hope that all three of them - including Rode - will stay. And I think it's possible," Steubing said.
Frankfurt recently sold Luka Jovic to Real Madrid for a reported fee of €60 million and could spend some of that money to sign the trio permanently.
