Joshua Kimmich: Extending Hansi Flick's contract was logical
Bayern München star Joshua Kimmich has backed the club's decision to let Hansi Flick stay on as coach.
Joshua Kimmich feels Bayern München made a 'logical' decision by extending Hansi Flick's contract until 2023.
Speaking in an interview with AZ, the German international says he believes it makes perfect sense that Flick was recently rewarded with a three-year deal after impressing since he took over the job as head coach from Niko Kovac in November.
"He has a very good approach to us players, to the team. He has also managed to take the entire staff with him. He conveys appreciation and importance to everyone in our team. Over the past weeks, we've seen that everything works very well," Kimmich said and added:
"It was the logical consequence of our results and performances. All in all, I think we're moving in the right direction and that we are more dominant now."
