Dortmund boss Sebastian Kehl expects Jadon Sancho to stay this summer

BVB boss Sebastian Kehl says he doesn't expect Jadon Sancho to depart the club this summer amid reported interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.
Borussia Dortmund expect that Jadon Sancho will be staying at the club beyond the summer, says the club's head of the licensed player division, Sebastian Kehl.

The highly-rated 20-year-old is said to be subject of interest from several European top clubs, including Manchester United and Liverpool, but Kehl says he can't see him leaving at the end of the season.

"We assume that Jadon will play with us next year," Kehl told Sky ahead of Borussia Dortmund's Bundesliga encounter with Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday.

Asked about speculation that Liverpool are leading the race for Sancho's signature, Kehl responded:

"That is not the truth."

Sancho, who is under contract until 2022, has played 40 games for BVB this season, racking up 20 goals and 20 assists.
