Hamburger SV have continuously expressed hope of extending Luka Vuskovic’s loan from Tottenham beyond the summer – but their chances appear to be dwindling.

With his impressive performances this season, the 19-year-old centre-back has attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Barcelona currently seem the frontrunner to sign Vuskovic, with Sport Bild noting that the defender’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has a strong relationship with Joan Laporta, the president of the Catalan club.

Zahavi, who also represents Barcelona coach Hansi Flick and striker Robert Lewandowski, has reportedly already held talks with Barcelona regarding Vuskovic.

Since his move to HSV last summer, Vuskovic’s market value has surged to an impressive €60 million, according to Transfermarkt.
