Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović will miss the national team gathering due to hip problems, having already been sidelined at club level. The decision was made as a precaution to avoid worsening the issue, leaving DFB-coach Julian Nagelsmann without one of his emerging midfield regulars.

Nagelsmann acts quickly

In response, Nagelsmann has moved swiftly to nominate a replacement, handing a new opportunity to a standout performer: Angelo Stiller!

The decision is also seen as part of a broader strategy to test depth ahead of the World Cup, with several players still fighting for their place in the final tournament squad.

Crucial tests ahead

Germany will face Switzerland on March 27th and Ghana on March 30th, fixtures that serve as key preparation matches in the World Cup year. For Nagelsmann, the late change is far from ideal - but it could prove valuable in the long run.

One player’s setback has created another’s big chance - and all eyes will now be on Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller.
