Harry Kane underlined that the result against Atalanta Bergamo in the second leg was the most important takeaway after Bayern’s latest 4-1 win, admitting that motivation can sometimes be a challenge in certain fixtures.

“The fact that we won the game was the most satisfying thing today,” Kane said, acknowledging the team’s strong mindset. “The motivation is sometimes hard to get up for matches like this, but we had a good mix.”

The England captain also found time for a light-hearted moment when asked about Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig’s performance. Kane jokingly recalled his own brief stint between the posts earlier in his career.

“I had my one feature in goal years ago — I’m not needed there,” he laughed. “It was a one-and-done when Hugo Lloris had to come off and there were no subs left.”

Kane was quick to praise Urbig, who played a key role in securing the clean sheet.

“Jonas Urbig was brilliant today again for us, so that’s good.”

Looking ahead, Kane turned his attention to the next challenge, a high-profile clash with Real Madrid. While acknowledging the difficulty of the tie, he made Bayern’s mindset clear.

“Real Madrid is always a dangerous opponent, but we are not afraid of anyone. These will be exciting games for everybody — I’m looking forward to them.”
