Milot Rashica was left out of Werder Bremen's squad for Sunday's friendly against Eintracht Braunschweig because of the current uncertainty regarding his future at the Weserstadion.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Werder this summer, with RB Leipzig said to be leading the race for his signature.

"We have mutually decided not to use Milot in this match due to the open situation regarding a possible transfer," Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt said prior to the game, which ended in a 2-0 win to Werder.
