Could Ivan Perisic stay at Bayern?

Ivan Perisic could potentially stay at Bayern München after impressing on loan from Inter.
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick would like to keep Ivan Perisic beyond the end of his loan spell, according to Sport Bild.

The 31-year-old is on loan from Inter until the end of the Champions League knockout tournament, which has seen him start and score two games in a row.

Flick has publicly said he would like to have four wingers at his disposal for the 2020/21 season and would reportedly like to keep Perisic as competition for Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and new signing Leroy Sané.

Although Bayern's option to buy Perisic for €20 million has expired, it doesn't seem out of the question that he could stay.

"I like the player very much. He's very efficient, and his statistics are very good. Whenever he plays, he does something productive. Ivan may not always be spectacular, but he is very reliable," said FC Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and added:

"We want to continue playing the tournament in peace and quiet and then look into it again afterwards."

Perisic has scored eight goals and made 10 assists in 33 games for Bayern since coming to Allianz Arena from Inter last summer.
