Borussia Dortmund have joined the race for RB Leipzig captain Marcel Sabitzer, according to Sport Bild.

With just one year left on his contract, Sabitzer is said to be available for significantly less than his €50 million release clause.

According to Sport Bild, the Austrian international could leave for less than €20 million.

Sabitzer has previously been touted for a move to England, with Premier League duo Tottenham and Liverpool said to be keen on acquiring his services.

Dortmund have also been linked with a move for Sabitzer's teammate Marcel Halstenberg, who is out of contract next summer as well.

However, before agreeing a deal for Halstenberg, who has been priced at around €10 million, Dortmund want to offload Nico Schulz, and Leipzig want to seal the signing of Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg.
