"Marca" Report: Hertha build €7 mandatory purchase clause into impending Alderete loan
The loan deal to send Hertha defender Omar Alderete to Valencia on a one-year-loan reportedly nears the finish line.
The West German capital city club has reportedly secured very favorable terms in the arrangement.
As reported earlier on Bulinews and confirmed by Hertha BSC sporting CEO Fredi Bobic, Germany's "alte Dame" have found a taker for Paraguayan defender Omar Alderete. Spain's "Marca" reports that the 24-year-old is headed over to La Liga on a season-long-loan with an obligatory purchase clause. Should the clause be triggered, Hertha stand to profit on the underutilized player.

In the event that Valencia CF qualify for the UEFA Europa League, the Spanish club will be on the hook for some €7 million. It has still not been revealed how much Germany's "alte Dame" paid for Alderete on transfer deadline day in October 2020, but the compulsory purchase amount is more than double the center back's current market value.
Valencia have missed out on the Europa League the past two years after qualifying in the previous two.
