Out-of-favour Hoffenheim midfielder linked with Freiburg

Expectations were high for Muhammed Damar heading into the 2025/26 season at TSG Hoffenheim following an impressive loan spell at SV Elversberg in the 2. Bundesliga.

However, things never took off for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder, who ultimately managed just 279 minutes across 16 appearances in all competitions for the Sinsheim club.

With Damar now likely to look for more regular playing time, SC Freiburg are showing interest in him, according to RTL.

Hoffenheim tied the Germany U21 international to a long-term contract until 2029 following his standout 2024/25 campaign at Elversberg.
