RB Leipzig captain David Raum has made it clear that he will remain at the club for at least the upcoming season.

According to RBLive.de, the left-back confirmed that he will “definitely play one more year at RB Leipzig”.

However, what happens beyond the end of his current contract in 2027 remains up in the air.

“It’s really still very, very quiet. Also because I haven’t received another offer yet, to be completely honest,” Raum said.

“I wanted to earn another year in the Champions League, and I’m enjoying that now. Everything else remains to be seen.

“Right now, I’m simply focusing on this year, which is very important to me.”

New RB Leipzig head coach Martin Demichelis recently confirmed to Sky Germany that Raum will remain the club’s captain for the upcoming campaign.
