Antonio Rüdiger is fighting for time to be fit for Germany's Euro 2024 last-16 clash on Saturday, according to Germany coach Rudi Völler.
The center back pulled a muscle in the back of his right thigh during Germany's 1-1 draw with Switzerland, and it's still unclear if he'll be fit enough to play.
"It doesn't seem to be anything dramatic," Völler told Bild.
"But it is a fact that it could be tight for Toni with a view to Saturday."
Germany will definitely be without Rüdiger's central defensive partner Jonathan Tah, who is suspended and likely to be replaced by Nico Schlotterbeck.
If Rüdiger is ruled out, Waldemar Anton could come in.
Depending on tonight's results in Group C, Germany will face either England, Denmark, Slovenia or Serbia on Saturday.
