An agreement between Bayer Leverkusen and Sunderland for Granit Xhaka is currently considered highly unlikely, per BILD.
Xhaka has told the Bundesliga club's executives that he is 100% committed to Leverkusen if the deal falls through.
Sunderland have reportedly offered Xhaka a €10million yearly wage - he currently earns €7million - but have set a maximum budget.
Die Werkself therefore understood that they will not significantly increase their initial bid of around €10million.
The newly promoted Premier League side's valuation of the Swiss midfielder is way short of Leverkusen's €20million demand.
