Jonas Urbig has revealed he was surprised to hear Manuel Neuer's statement that he's likely to retire next summer.
“I actually didn't know he said that. I'm hearing it for the first time," the Bayern Munich goalkeeper said in the mixed zone.
"Generally speaking, the exchange I have with Manu is good, with Sven [Ulreich] and with the entire goalkeeping team.
“That's a different topic and it concerns Manu. We're just happy we have such a togetherness within our goalkeeping team,” Urbig added.
The 22-year-old is set to become the heir to Neuer's No.1 jersey, with more playing time agreed by all involved at FC Bayern.
