VfB Stuttgart have submitted a first offer to Deniz Undav for a contract extension beyond 2027, according to Sky Germany.

The report suggests that while the striker was presented with an “appreciative” offer for a long-term deal last week, the two parties remain some way apart.

Undav is reportedly asking for around €6 million per year, and although the player and club are understood to be moving closer, talks over both salary and contract length are set to continue.

The German international avoided making any commitments about his future following Stuttgart's 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend, simply saying:

“We'll see what happens”.

According to Sky, Stuttgart would like to have clarity on Undav’s future soon – and ideally before World Cup preparations begin.
