Werder Bremen have reportedly emerged as contenders to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Igor Matanovic.

According to Deichstube, a source close to the Werder, the Green-Whites are keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old's situation.

After a strong loan spell with Karlsruher SC during the 2023/24 season, expectations were high when Matanovic returned to Frankfurt last summer. However, he struggled to make a significant impact throughout the campaign.

As a result, Frankfurt are reportedly willing to let the Croatian forward go, with a fee of around €8 million being floated.. A loan move is another possibility.

Werder are also reportedly interested in Eintracht Braunschweig's Rayan Philippe as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
