Augsburg ready to discuss Demirovic transfer

Augsburg are open to discussing a possible summer transfer for Ermedin Demirovic, says club boss Michael Ströll. However, according to him, it's not a topic at the moment.

FC Augsburg are ready to listen to offers for Ermedin Demirovic this summer, should another club and the player himself be interested in working out a deal.

"If a player has the opportunity to take a step forward both in terms of sport and finances, then we are prepared to sit down and discuss the situation," FC Augsburg's chief commercial officer, Michael Ströll, told Augsburger Allgemeine.

As for the transfer fee that Augsburg would demand for Demirovic should a transfer take place, Ströll said that “there is no financial pain threshold, because it's not a topic for us at the moment.”

"But should it come to that, it is not appropriate for a club like FCA to simply refer to the existing contract," he added, indicating that the club will always try to find solutions that both the club and the player are happy with.

Demirovic, who is contracted until 2026, has been in outstanding form for Augsburg this season, scoring 15 goals and adding eight assists in 27 appearances.
