In an interview with Sky Germany, Bayern Munich boss Christoph Freund said he wouldn't be adverse to the club making winter signings.

“We've learned in football to never rule anything out completely, but it's not planned because we're well-equipped.

"Very important players are returning, Hiroki Itō and hopefully Alphonso Davies, and then Jamal Musiala.

“Hopefully, those will be our winter signings, and then we'll be very, very well-equipped,” explained Freund.

It was also mooted that Bayer's Jonah Kusi-Asare's loan deal at Fulham could be terminated in January.

The move didn't go as Freund had hoped, with coach Marco Silva openly stated that he wasn't ready for the Premier League yet.
