Marc-André ter Stegen recently suffered a long-term injury, sparking talk of a possible return to the German national team for Manuel Neuer, who announced his international retirement after Euro 2024.
At a press conference on Friday, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany and sporting director Christoph Freund insisted that a possible Germany return for Neuer hasn't been a topic of discussion at the Bavarian club.
"We haven't talked about it for a second," Kompany insisted, while Freund added:
"It's his personal decision. He's very happy at the moment because he's in good form. Hopefully he'll be fit again, he's had a good start to the season.
Neuer has recently been sidelined with an injury, but he's expected to be back in the lineup against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday evening.
