Borussia Dortmund has made a request to the Greek national team to spare Konstantinos Karetsas in their game with Germany.

Karetsas started in all three of Greece's Nations League matches including in the historic win against Germany, playing the full 90 minutes.

According to Sky Germany, Dortmund has therefore reached out to and requested that the 18-year-old BVB talent be used sparingly.

The Westphalian club's concern probably comes from Karetsas recently shouldering a heavy workload for the club.

He also suffered from circulatory problems before the international break and will face Werder Bremen with Dortmund next Friday.

It leaves Greece with a tricky call given Karetsas is one of their star player and they currently sit top of Group B with 7 points.
