Spanish outlet AS recently suggested that Real Madrid could make an offer for Gregor Kobel if they are unable to extend the contract of their current No. 1, Thibaut Courtois, beyond the end of the season.
However, as reported by Bild, Borussia Dortmund have no intention of letting their first-choice goalkeeper leave and are keen to extend his contract beyond 2028 to fend off interest.
Kobel himself is also not said to be looking for a move away, with the report suggesting that he is convinced he can compete for titles with BVB in the future.
The 28-year-old reportedly rejected interest from Newcastle United over the summer in order to stay at Signal Iduna Park.
Kobel joined Dortmund from Stuttgart for €15 million in 2021.
