Report: Dortmund set for crunch talks with talented youngster

Paris Brunner's future at Borussia Dortmund will largely depend on the outcome of a meeting with new coach Nuri Sahin later this month, according to Sport Bild.

Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin has scheduled a meeting with 18-year-old highly-rated youngster Paris Brunner at the end of the month to discuss the player's future.

Brunner, who is currently under contract until 2025, is understood to have a contract offer on the table, the terms of which have already been agreed by both parties.

The sticking point for the 18-year-old, however, is the prospect of consistent first-team involvement.

According to Sport Bild, the teenager wants to train permanently with the first team squad.

With Sahin unlikely to be able to guarantee this, it will be interesting to see how Brunner's sees his future following the scheduled meeting with the new BVB coach.

Brunner is highly regarded from a footballing perspective, but his disciplinary issues are a concern for the Black and Yellows.

In October last year, he was briefly suspended by the club for an unspecified incident.

And at the club's training camp in Marbella in January, he again made headlines for all the wrong reasons when he reportedly tried to sneak out of his hotel room at night despite being told to stay in after midnight.
