Guerreiro expected to start on the wing against Arsenal, Bild reports

According to Bild, Raphael Guerreiro is set to start on the left wing when Bayern face Arsenal on Wednesday night.

There was a surprise when Bayern Munich held their final training session on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Arsenal.

That's according to Bild, who claims that Noussair Mazraoui and Raphael Guerreiro unexpectedly both played in the ‘A’ team, while Thomas Muller was in the ‘B’ team.

While it was always assumed that either Mazraoui or Guerreiro would replace the suspended Alphonso Davies at left-back, this suggests that both will start the game.

Bild predicts that Mazraoui will start at left-back, with Guerreiro playing on the left wing to provide defensive support for the Morocco international. Thomas Müller will be on the bench, with Jamal Musiala operating in the central attacking midfield position.

Whether Bild's assumptions are correct will be revealed tonight when the starting line-ups are announced about an hour before kick-off at 21:00 CET.
