Ahead of VfB Stuttgart's meeting with VfL Wolfsburg, coach Sebastian Hoeneß issues a personnel update with a key attacker ruled out.

"Stefan Drljaca is out with a muscle injury, Jamie Leweling is also out due to adductor problems. But that shouldn't be a long-term issue.

“Ermedin Demirovic is out and Badredine Bouanani didn't train yesterday because his flight from the national team was delayed. Atakan Karazor was ill but will be fit,” he said.

Against what he labels an “extremely attacking” opponent, Hoeness suggested that Tiago Tomás will feature, while Deniz Undav won't be rushed back and Jeff Chabot may get a rest.

"Tiago will definitely play against Wolfsburg. He gives our game important impetus, has good moments, and can create many chances. The key now is to increase our efficiency.

"Deniz is back in full training and is of course an option. But it's not just about Wolfsburg, but also about the next few weeks. We have a few games coming up, and we'll need him.

“Jeff [Chabot] is very important and a key starter. But it's also about managing the workload. We have competition from Ramon Hendriks, Ameen Al Dakhil, and Finn Jeltsch, and that's very important for us," he added.
