Eintracht Frankfurt returned to winning ways in the Bundesliga just before the international break. Kauã Santos played a big part in the win over Bochum as he made five key saves to keep the home side at bay for a large part of the game.

For a while, Kevin Trapp was untouchable at Frankfurt. However, two injuries to the former PSG goalkeeper this season means the 21-year-old hasn’t had to wait longer for an opportunity. "We have different characteristics and learn a lot from each other every day," said the 1.96m shot-stopper in an interview with Brazilian outlet ‘Globo’.

"I had the opportunity to make my professional debut. I also played crucial matches in both the Bundesliga and the Europa League. Thankfully, I lived up to expectations," said Kauã Santos regarding his debut season in European football. "I believe that I’m on the right track. My team and I are working to achieve our goals."

Kauã Santos will hope to make his 10th Frankfurt appearance when they host VfB Stuttgart after the international break. However, Dino Toppmöller will have to make a tough decision with Trapp expected to return from a shin injury.
