Kehl confirms Chelsea can recall Aarón Anselmino from Dortmund loan

Thanks to a special clause, Chelsea could recall Aarón Anselmino from his loan at Borussia Dortmund during the winter transfer window.

Whether new Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior would like to do so is unclear, but Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl is hoping to keep the Argentine centre-back for the rest of the campaign.

“We are planning with him for the second half of the season. In the end, however, it is, of course, a matter of contract design. Chelsea also, given the situation we were in at the time, have certain expectations,” Kehl told Sky.

“I believe it makes sense for all parties for Aarón to play for Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the season – to help us, himself, and ultimately also Chelsea.”

Anselmino has made nine appearances for the Black and Yellows so far this season.
