Roda JC Kerkrade has announced the signing of highly-rated 1.FC Köln talent Funny Schenten ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The 18-year-old striker joins the second-division Netherlands club on a one-year loan to continue his development.

Despite making 7 appearances in the Bundesliga off the bench last season, Köln know Schenten requires more game time.

After the deal was agreed, Kerkrade's technical director Rob Servais is delighted that Schenten will now be playing for his club:

“Fynn is a talented attacker who comes from an excellent football academy.

"He can play both as a striker and as a second striker, and his speed and robustness are qualities that fit our style of play perfectly.

"We are therefore pleased that Fynn chose Roda JC despite interest from several clubs.”
