Konrad Laimer once again spoke about his ongoing negotiations with Bayern Munich over a new contract after Saturday’s 3-0 DFB-Pokal final victory over VfB Stuttgart.

The two sides have been in talks for some time about a possible extension beyond 2027, but have not yet reached an agreement.

“I feel really comfortable here. It’s really a lot of fun in the team. We’ll see how things continue,” Laimer told Sport1 on Saturday night when asked about his talks with FC Bayern.

When asked whether he has set too high salary demands, the 28-year-old replied:

“You don’t even know what I’m asking for! To be honest, I’ve never demanded anything at all. We’ll see where the journey goes. I’ve been here for three years now. We’ve won the double this year, and I plan to win a few more titles with the club.”

The Austrian international didn't want to set a specific timeline for the conclusion of the negotiations.

“In football, things move so fast. Maybe tomorrow we’ll say, ‘Boom, we’ll get it signed.’ Maybe we’ll say that after the World Cup. I don’t know. Things can happen very quickly any day,” he said.
