According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer of Maxime Estève to RB Leipzig is imminent.

The Bundesliga club from Saxony have reportedly reached an agreement with both the defender and his employers Burnley FC.

Should the sale go through, the relegated Premier League side is set to receive a transfer fee of €32million, including bonuses.

Currently, only the payment details remain to be finalized, after which Estève is expected to link up with his new teammates in Germany.

Besides RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and others had shown interest in the left-footed French centre-half.

Rumors also occasionally circulated linking him to Bayern Munich – where former Burnley manager, Vincent Kompany, is in charge.
