Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala suffered a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle at the Club World Cup and now faces several months on the sidelines.

Since the injury, the 22-year-old has received heartfelt messages from across the football world.

After successful surgery, Musiala has taken to Instagram to thank everyone for their kind messages and support.

“Hello everyone. I wanted to say thank you for all the lovely support I got from all of you. It really means a lot to me. It's nice to see how the football world comes together in a time like this, and I really appreciate it,” said Musiala.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has faced some criticism for the way he went into the challenge that led to Musiala’s unfortunate injury.

However, the German international has dismissed any blame, emphasizing that such incidents are part of the game.

"The surgery went really well. I'm in good care. And I wanted to say that there's no one to blame for this. I think situations like this happen. And now I'm just going to use the next period of time to build up my strength and positivity again. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again."
