Bayern Munich is apparently keeping a keen eye on Chelsea's Josh Acheampong, based on the latest transfer reports.

According to daily British newspaper the Guardian, the Munich club's interest in the versatile defender remains unchanged.

Last summer, the German record champions were already intrigued by Acheampong but the London side didn't want to let him go.

Nevertheless, the Bundesliga leaders are considering making a concrete move for Acheampong in the summer.

It's believed that there's even a possiblity of signing the 19-year-old before the winter transfer window shuts.

Bayern, recently been plagued by several injuries, could benefit greatly given Acheampong can play in any defensive position.

So far this season, the Englishman has featured in 17 games this season totalling 942 minutes on the pitch with one goal to his name.
