After a great start to the season, Bayern München have fallen into a slump and and are winless in four games.

The Bavarians' poor form has led to criticism from different sides, but Bayern coach Niko Kovac is reluctant to make any fundamental changes despite the critical voices.

"You can't defend yourself against rumors and things that are untrue. In the first games, everything was great, but suddenly that's not the case anymore - or at least that is what is being written," Kovac said at today's press conference ahead of Saturday's game against VfL Wolfsburg and added:

"We have to stay true to our line. It's no use throwing everything overboard and trying out something new. That's pure actionism - and you will not experience that with me."

But the fact that Kovac wants to stick to his philosophy doesn't mean that he isn't aware that his team must improve.

"It's not always easy to explain what happens in football. There are times when the ball always lands in the goal, and there are times when that is not the case. We have made too many mistakes lately. We need to minimize them, and secondly, we have to take advantage of our chances in front of goal," Kovac said.
