Two French media sources claim that super-club PSG are quite serious about joining the Robert Lewandowski race.

As of Sunday, France's RMC Sport claims PSG new strategic advisor Luis Campos is pushing ahead with the signing of Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern Munich. The French broadcaster claims that the Portuguese agent has already contacted the Polish superstar's agent Pin Zihavi about engineering the move.

France's preeminent sporting publication L'Équipe doesn't confirm the report directly, but does cite its own sources in reference to the fact that the French giants have included Lewy's capture as part of their squad planning. L'Équipe states that Campos did indeed present the idea to the front office, even going so far as to draw up in detail how it could work financially.

It remains common knowledge that the 33-year-old's preferred destination is FC Barcelona. It also remains common knowledge that the debt-ridden Azulgrana will need to swing at least €30-40 million in outgoing transfer moves before obtaining the financial wherewithal to make it happen.

A PSG swoop could take advantage of time needed to orchestrate this.

"I am not an egoist," Lewandowski told German tabloid Sport Bild in his latest public statements on the matter this week, "I'm aware of what I had at FC Bayern and appreciate it very much. For eight years, I've my best not to disappoint the club and the fans. After this time, I feel it's time for change of scenery."
