Gladbach updates: BMG introduce Ngoumou, deny there is agreement on Eberl
Borussia Mönchengladbach officially unveiled Nathan Ngoumou as a new signing on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the NRW club has told the local newspaper "Rheinische Post" that they are not yet prepared to release former sporting director Max Eberl from his current contract.

"Nathan is a young and talented developmental prospect," BMG sporting director Rolan Virkus noted at the unveiling, "With his dynamism and speed, he brings important elements to our game. That's why we are very pleased that he has decided to move to us."
In the other big piece of news involving Gladbach to arise on this day, Westphalia's "Rheinische Post" reports that the club is not yet satisfied with the initial compensation package RB Leipzig offered in the attempt to install former boss Max Eberl as their new sporting director. The local newspaper quotes BMG officials as noting that the initial exchange was "not fruitful".
Even after his resignation last January, Eberl remains under contract with Gladbach through 2026. Eberl's former club must first agree to terminate the executive's current contract before he can be employed by another club. It is thought that the BMG consider Eberl worth at least €10 million. Presumably, Leipzig's initial tender was far below that.
"There is no agreement on a termination of his employment contract with Borussia," the club is quoted by the Rheinische Post as saying.
