Maaßen: "It won't be easy for Bayern to win either"

Speaking with Kicker, Augsburg trainer Enrico Maaßen considered his team's chances in the Bavarian derby this weekend.
Coming off their tense away win over Werder Bremen, Augsburg look to be playing with an edge under new coach Enrico Maaßen. In an interview with Kicker, he discussed what's to be expected in their difficult encounter at home against Bayern this weekend.

Maaßen wants to defend compactly and hit Bayern on the occasional counterattack: "We'll get one or two opportunities. If we take advantage of them and take the lead, it won't be easy for Bayern to win either."

Augsburg will likely start with three center-backs in order to do everything possible in slowing down Bayern's lethal attack. Maaßen added that it's still, "A game like any other, it's about three points. - We have a chance when we reach the maximum, running and emotional."

If Die Fuggerstädter can somehow pull off the remarkable upset, Bayern will go an unthinkable four games in a row without winning a Bundesliga match.
