FC Porto vs. Bayer Leverkusen preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Coming off a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Bayern München, crisis-hit Bayer Leverkusen will be determined to show a different face in the Champions League versus FC Porto tonight.
Bayer Leverkusen have travelled to Porto, where they will be facing Portuguese champions FC Porto at Estádio do Dragão on Tuesday evening in their third Champions League game of the season.

No big changes in personnel is expected, but Leverkusen will be determined to improve vastly from Friday's clear 4-0 defeat against Bayern.

"Of course, we were disappointed after the game. The team and staff have looked at their performances," said Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane ahead of tonight's game in Portugal.

The defeat against Bayern has left Leverkusen 17th in the Bundesliga with just five points after eight games.

"The team is fully aware of this difficult situation. We all have to ensure that that we show qualities like the ability to fight and commitment on the pitch," said Seoane, who also commented on his own future at the club:

"We always have internal open discussions and communicate as clearly as possible. I've been in this business for a long time and the most important thing is always the results and the next game. It's my job to coach the team and draw the right conclusions after a defeat. I'm focusing on that.

"I think it's professional the way the club reassesses the situation again and again to not lose sight of the whole picture. The club has shown their confidence in me otherwise I wouldn’t be here any more. It's understandable that journalists keep asking those questions. I can handle that."

Here are our predicted lineups for the game.
