Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeness has made it clear that the club will not make a move for Harry Kane.

Asked if the Bavarians could sign the Tottenham striker this summer, Hoeness told SZ:

"No. But it's clear that we are looking for a number 9. A number 9 is essential in football."

Hoeness also gave his assessment of two of the other strikers Bayern have been linked with: Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani and Napoli's Victor Osimhen.

He found praise for both players, but practically ruled out a transfer for Osimhen due to his price tag.

"[Muani] is a very good player. But I don't want to go into details. I also think Victor Osimhen from Napoli is good - but in my opinion he is completely unaffordable."
