Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeness is optimistic that Harry Kane will join the club from Tottenham this summer.

Hoeness told several German media outlets, including Kicker, AZ and Sport1, on Saturday evening that Kane wants to make the move to Munich.

"Harry Kane has made it very clear in all the talks that he has made up his mind. If it stays this way, we'll get him. Then Tottenham will have to give in," Hoeness said.

"[Tottenham chairman Daniel] Levy is clever. First we have to get him to name a price. He's playing for time. He's a great professional. I hold him in high esteem. But we don't have people on our side who have been doing this since yesterday.

"[Kane] wants to play in Europe. Tottenham won't be there next season, unlike our club. He now has another chance to join a top European club.

"What we really liked about Kane is that his agents, his father and his brother are very pleasant people. So far they have always kept their promises. If that continues, it's okay."

Kane has one year remaining on his contract with Tottenham.
