Thomas Müller has said agrees with Julian Nagelsmann's decision not to rotate and to keep Manuel Neuer in goal against Ecuador.

“If I were Julian Nagelsmann, I would stick to the current approach and give the team stability," Müller said on Magenta TV.

Furthermore, the former German international and 2014 World Cup winner believes no tweaks should be made between the sticks either.

“The first-choice goalkeeper plays if fit. I would start Manuel Neuer. We're not here to hand out gifts,” he explained.

Müller's argument for the goalkeeper position differs from the German squad who reportedly want Oliver Baumann to feature tonight.

Baumann was Germany's first choice shot-stopper all through the qualifying campaign, but lost his place to Neuer who came out of retirement.
