Bayern optimistic about extending with Neuer and Müller, per Kicker

Kicker reports that Bayern Munich are optimistic about keeping Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller beyond the end of the season, when their current contracts expire.
Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to open contract talks with Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller in the foreseeable future.

According to Kicker, negotiations are expected to begin after the first half of the season, possibly shortly after the turn of the year.

The report also claims that the Bavarians are optimistic about keeping the two veteran players, who are out of contract next summer.

Although 34-year-old Müller isn't entirely happy with his dwindling playing time, he is said to be understanding of the situation he finds himself in.

As for Neuer, 37, the Bavarians want to wait and see how the goalkeeper progresses following his recent return from long-term injury.
