Noah Katterbach says he would like to sign a new contract with FC Köln.

The young left-back, whose current deal runs until 2021, has been linked with a move to Schalke 04, but underlines that he would prefer to stay at FC Köln.

"There is no reason for me to leave FC. FC Köln is my heart club, and I would be happy about an extension," Katterbach told the Kölner Stadtanzeiger.

FC Köln boss Horst Heldt could see Katterbach staying at the club as well.

"We want to extend Noah's contract and have a clear mutual commitment," he told Express.de.

According to Express.de, Köln are ready to offer the 19-year-old a new deal until 2024.
