Two goals from Karim Benzema saw off 'Die Fohlen' om Wednesday, but the Bundesliga side still finished second behind Real Madrid in Group B after Inter and Shakhtar Donetsk drew 0-0 in Milan.
In Munich, Niklas Süle and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting got on the scoresheet for Bayern, who had already sealed the top spot in their group, as the German champions beat Lokomotiv Moscow 2-0.
