Report: Schalke also want Rafinha

Rafinha is the latest former Schalke 04 player to be linked with a return to the Gelsenkirchen club.
After re-signing Sead Kolasinac on loan from Arsenal and approaching Klaas Jan Huntelaar about a possible return from Ajax, Schalke 04 now want to bring another of their former players back to Gelsenkirchen, according to Bild.

The report claims that 'The Royal Blues' have inquired about a possible move for Rafinha, who played for the club from 2005 to 2010 – and the interest is understood to be mutual.

The 35-year-old full-back now plays for Olympiacos, where he is under contract until 2022, but is understood to have a release clause that allows him to leave the club on a free transfer.

Rafinha, who left Schalke for Bayern München in 2010, has made 20 appearances for Olympiacos.
