Leverkusen rue missed chances after loss to Union
Peter Bosz and Kerem Demirbay rued missed opportunities after Leverkusen's loss to Union Berlin.
Bayer Leverkusen were left to rue missed first-half chances as they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Friday.
"I am disappointed with the result. We played a good first half with two great chances, we were dominant and had good possession. Here at Union you don't get a lot of opportunities. You have to use the few that you do have," Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz told reporters.
"The key was in the 1st half. We had a few good chances. We should have led," said Leverkusen midfielder Kerem Demirbay.
"We knew going into it that Union were going to set up deep - extremely deep in the 2nd half - and just wait for a counter. Then they did well to get through once. Very bitter," he added.
