Jürgen Klopp rules himself out of the race for Germany job
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has dismissed speculation linking him with the job as Germany coach.
Following the announcement that Joachim Löw will step back as Germany coach after this summer's Euros, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was instantly brought up as a possible candidate to replace the 61-year-old.
However, speaking ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig, Klopp has ruled himself out of the race for the job.
"No, I will not be available as a potential coach of the German national team in the summer or after the summer," said Klopp, whose deal with Liverpool expires in 2024.
"I have three years left at Liverpool. It's a simple situation; you sign a contract and you try to stick to that."
Bayern München coach Hansi Flick, Germany U21 coach Stefan Kuntz and former Red Bull boss Ralf Rangnick have also been mentioned as possible candidates to succeed Löw.
