Shamrock Rovers prospect Michael Noonan will not join TSG Hoffenheim, as reported by Sky Germany's journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The 17-year-old's family are believed to have come to the decision to reject the transfer and prevent his move to the Bundesliga.
Hoffenheim were very keen on the deal and made an offer but contrary to previous reports, a deal was never close to being finalised.
Yannick Eduardo, currently at Dutch second division side Dordrecht on loan from RB Leipzig, is now a concrete target.
Talks are already underway for the 20-year-old striker is, for the time being, planned for the U-23 side (as Noonan would also have been).
