After the news of Morgan Guilavogui and Johannes Eggestein departing the club this week, St. Pauli now adds a new striker to their ranks. Ricky-Jade Jones is their new attacking addition as he leaves his training club Peterborough after more than 200 games for the first team.

Jones had his best season to date, scoring 17 goals in all competitions. However, his club finished the campaign 18th in English third-tier football. St. Pauli signed the player as a free agent.

St. Pauli had the weakest attack in the Bundesliga last season with only 28 goals scored in 34 matches. In comparison, relegated Holstein Kiel netted 19 more goals throughout the season. Alexander Blessin’s side has already completed the signings of defenders Jannik Robatsch and Arkadiusz Pyrka.
