According to Sport Bild, Paris Saint-Germain have joined Manchester United in their pursuit of Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.

It looks increasingly likely that Matthijs de Ligt will leave Bayern Munich this summer.

Following reports that Bayern are willing to let the Dutchman go for the right price, he's been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, where he would be reunited with Erik ten Hag, who he played under at Ajax.

However, it now appears that the Red Devils are not the only suitors for the centre-back. According to Sport Bild, Paris Saint-Germain are also interested.

Manchester United are still leading the race for de Ligt, but PSG could give them a run for their money.

Bayern paid a whopping 67 million to sign 24-year-old de Ligt from Juventus two years ago.
