Marco Reus has the chance to bring his 12-year spell at Borussia Dortmund to a spectacular close with a victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.
In an interview published on Borussia Dortmund's website, the 34-year-old reflected on Real Madrid as a team and the possibility of beating them.
“Real Madrid have been in the final five times in the last 10 years. You know the quality you're up against. You know that the players are used to this situation, that they're probably less excited. But that's not going to decide whether you win the match or not. They have incredibly strong individual players, they play calm football, but they can also press high, they run a lot,” Reus said.
"It depends on different moments. You need a very good day and a bit of luck in a final. When you have the chance, you have to try and score goals yourself. At the end of the day, it's a game and anything can happen in a game. We have to believe in it and we will believe in it.
“We're going to have an incredible amount of support in the final. We have to focus the energy in the city and in the stadium as a club and then anything is possible. We definitely believe in it.”
